Spreading awareness

Do good speak good

We believe that to stop the plastic crisis, we have to spread awareness and show the youth the benefits of a healthy planet.
We believe that to spread the initiative, we should live a life without one-time plastic. By pledging to live without one-time plastic, we are making a commitment to the planet to save it.

Plastic not only harms us but the environment we live in. This means that future generations will inherit the mistakes we have made to the planet. Plastics in landfills can slowly decompose while spreading microplastics through the ground, making the land barren and infertile. Along with this, plastic waste in oceans can decompose slowly, with the microplastics flooding the oceans and harming the water and animals, which in turn hurts us.

Having a relationship with plastic isn’t the best for you or the people around you. Break up with one-time plastic. It may be hard at first, but planning ahead so that you avoid one-time plastic is the key to implement a life without one-time plastic. Developing an anti-plastic opinion can change people around you. When you refuse a plastic bag at the counter, the people in line behind you will be likely to follow suit, and if only a few people start doing this, the results will be exponential. If one person goes against plastic, ten of their friends and family will be affected. Of those ten people, each one of them will influence ten other people, and each one of those ten people will influence ten people, until every community, every state, every country is aware of the effects of plastic and how to stop them.

So let’s make it a habit. You have to make your break up with a one-time plastic official. Before you go to bed every day, plan for the next day. Pack your bag for school, work, or wherever you are going the next day with metal straws, a fork, and a spoon. If you are going out to eat, make sure to pack reusable utensils, and try to make your meal plastic-free. Making a habit of living without plastic can genuinely change the world for the better. Make sure to ask your family to do the same.
